Clinical Interest: She is interested in oncology, disorders of coagulation, and immune thrombocytopenic purpura. Dr. Medeiros is the medical director for the Hemophilia and Thrombosis Treatment Center of Hawaiʻi which is which is supported by Federal grants from the Centers for Disease Control and Maternal and Child Health Branch and is a member of the Western States Regional Coordinating Committee. As part of her University of Hawai‘i appointment, she continues to teach, precept, and mentor undergraduate students, medical students and residents. She participates in ongoing Children’s Oncology Group trials and institutional Quality Improvement Projects.
Research Interest: She is interested in oncology, disorders of coagulation, and immune thrombocytopenic purpura.
Community Involvement: Dr. Medeiros is a member of Kapi‘olani’s Blood Utilization Committee and Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. She also serves as Camp Physician and Medical Director for Camp Anuenue (annual cancer camp program). Other community service activities include being a Medical Advisor for HUGS (Help, Understanding, and Group Support), annual Science Symposium sessions for middle school students, and is the medical consultant for Sacred Hearts Academy’s lower school.
