Clinical Interest: She is interested in pediatric hospice, pallative care, and therapeutic apheresis technology.
Research Interest: She is interested in quality improvement, patient centered outcomes research, and comparative effectiveness research.
Community Involvement: Dr. Jensen has been an avid supporter of pediatric hospice and palliative care and in 2017 she officially joined Hospice Hawai’i’s pediatric hospice team. She directs the clinical care for all of the pediatric patients enrolled on Hospice Hawai’i’s pediatric service which includes coordinating with subspecialists who provide care to pediatric hospice patients who are eligible for concurrent care services. She is also actively engaged in program development activities that aim to improve access to palliative care services for pediatric patients who are confronted with advanced and life limiting medical conditions. In 2018 she became the director of Hawai’i Pacific Health’s clinical apheresis program which is involved in treating a wide variety of patients including adult and pediatric patients with oncologic and hematologic conditions.
Other Information: She completed a Medicine/Pediatrics combined residency as well as fellowships in Palliative Care and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
