Clinical Interest: Diagnosis and treatment of Congenital Infections, acute bone and joint infections, and opportunistic infections in immunocompromised patients. Improving the diagnosis and management of acute infections in pediatric patients and the treatment of multidrug resistant bacterial infections.
Community Involvement: Involvement Leads the efforts as Medical Director of Kapiʻolani Medical Center for Women & Children Antibiotic Stewardship Program (KASP) to promote judicious antimicrobial therapy and address concerns with multidrug resistant infections. Involved in the Hawai’i Pacific Health ASP and Statewide ASP initiative. Serves as a committee member on the KMCWC Infection Control and Prevention and the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committees.

Chair of the Pediatric Department’s Taskforce on Careers in Medicine to encourage high school and college students to pursue careers in medicine with an emphasis in Pediatrics. Developed a Careers in Medicine half day learning experience for high school students to gain firsthand exposure from clinicians and multidisciplinary team caring for pediatric patients, learning about medical school and residency training with a shadow experience pediatric clinicians. In addition, works to coordinate clinicians to staff and help with career information sessions for high school and college students.
