Community Involvement: Dr. Kurahara is a Professor of Pediatrics and the Program Director of the Pediatric Residency program at Kapiʻolani Medical Center for Women and Children/John A. Burns School of Medicine. He also provides a team of pre-medical undergraduates and medical students mentorship in the development of medical manuscripts for publication. Dr. Kurahara is a the Vice President and a board member of HPAREF (Hawai‘i Pediatric Association Research and Education Foundation) and also on the medical advisory board for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
